Water Bombing Expertise

Rotorwing Helicopters operates a fleet of AS350 helicopters equipped with under-slung buckets capable of carrying up to 750 litres of water or fire retardant. Operating the advanced IMS Cloudburst Fire bucket featuring multi-drop technology and foam injection, allowing precise water delivery for direct attack as well as clean-up operations. Our experienced pilots manage each drop’s volume and timing with precision, enhancing firefighting efforts in challenging environments.

Aerial Incendiary Operations

Rotorwing Helicopters also specializes in Aerial Incendiary Operations, a critical method for controlled burns and backburning to contain wildfires. Using aerial incendiary delivery systems, we deploy strategically placed ignition points to create firebreaks and reduce fuel loads, helping to prevent the spread of uncontrolled fires.
This includes the use of the red dragon and an aerial drip torch.

Air Attack/ Air Observation Support

In addition to direct fire suppression, we provide an Air Attack / Air observations platform for managing Water bombing Aircraft the fireground as well as conducting aerial intel flights including live edge mapping.
